new CD recorded - July 21, 2008

In June we returned to Summerhaus Studios to record a new CD. Composed entirely of improvised music and MUCH electronics, it's a departure from 2006's Paths Unknown. Look for it in the fall of 2008!

We've been digitally recording our rehearsals (ok, they aren't really tapes) for years and have hundreds of hours of live material. We'll occasionally post some of the better stuff here. The first entry was recorded a few days ago (12/9/06) and is entitled Dream Dogs. Go to the music section to check it out.

Live tracks from recent gigs - December 1, 2006

Check our music section for two recent live tracks, recorded by our esteemed colleague and Master of the Known Universe, Mark O. Chapman!

These tracks are versions of two tunes from our new CD. Give them a shot.

news and stuff - November 17, 2006

Got a few gigs coming up--see the Calendar. Scott just got back from a few weeks of travelling in Guatemala, where he met a cool band named "Mamalapacha" and traded trumpet info with Catato, their trompetista.

Keep an eye on Cuneiform Records/ Wayside Music (www.waysidemusic.com)... they are going to be selling Paths Unknown in the near future.

More info to come! stay tuned.

New site, new CD - October 2, 2006

2006 has been good to us. We have a new CD, a new website, and have played a major festival in NYC.

Fresh off our gig at last month's FONT (Festival of New Trumpet, www.fontmusic.org) we're returning to Bangkok Blues in the DC area in a few weeks (see Calendar). FONT/ Williamsburg Jazz Festival went very well, and we all had a blast in New York. Much good food was consumed, we hooked up with our old guiatrist, Ben Tyree (see Links), and made a lot of new friends. Steve Forrey (a killer musician and brother of Scott) helped us out immensely with the logistics of driving around Manhattan, Brooklyn, and this insane thing they have there called the BQE. Also thanks to MJ for great company and additional assistence with vehicles.
